Determining Market size
Understanding your position, now and in the future
To know if further growth is possible and whether your sales are developing in line with market volume, it is important for your business or organisation to understand your market position. But you also want to know how your key competitors are performing in terms of market share. Our market size research can tell you all of this.
Good market knowledge is required to determine the size of a market. If the structure of a market is not fully understood, there is a risk of double counting, or of sub segments being overlooked. Market knowledge is also important in interpreting the findings when assessing market size.
How we work
Determining market size requires a bespoke approach. In consultation with you, we will agree which segments will be included. In the construction and installation sector, in which many products are used by different market players, this step is essential. We then take a close look at the DMU – who are the buyers and who are the processors? Who actually decides what in the decision-making process? We generally identify all of this by means of initial qualitative research. We use quantitative research (by telephone and/or fieldwork) to obtain data that can be analysed and extrapolated to determine the market size.
